The film features Dunst and Alexander Skarsgard as a couple that gets married just as a catastrophic, world-ending meteor named Melancholia is headed to earth. Beautifully shot and uncommonly meditative, the film brings out the performance of her career, and could put Dunst on Oscar shortlists.  The film hits US theaters on November 11th – my birthday!

My brothers and I on the set of CHIPS in Venice, CA with Erik Estrada, way back in like 1978, I think.

This is what happens when consumers don’t want to pay for content - streaming sucks, it generates so little money for the producers.  Netflix’s catalogue of movies to stream is just older titles, foreign films and some indie fare.  No new studio films, etc.  It’s all second tier.
